Samantha Irvin‘s sudden exit from WWE left almost everybody in shock. WWE hired her in 2021 as a ring announcer for 205 Live. She was promoted to the announcer for SmackDown in 2022 and moved to the red brand the next year. In such a short time, she made a lasting impact on fans and wrestlers alike, including Chelsea Green.

The Hot Mess recently sent a heartfelt and emotional message to the 35-year-old on X. The two of them have been on separate brands for a while now. However, they had spent a lot of time together on Raw before Green was drafted away to SmackDown, much to Adam Pearce‘s delight.

Green also thanked her for the iconic and special ring announcement that Samantha Irvin had devised for her. For a brief period of time, the ring announcer had stopped doing the special announcement, allegedly because she was told by certain higher-ups to stop doing it. However, it eventually made its return due to high fan demand.

Irvin did not provide a reason for her parting ways with WWE or where she was going afterward. Reportedly, the 35-year-old wants to continue her career in singing. While she may not be able to be replaced by anyone, WWE has found a very strong replacement for her. Lilian Garcia, regarded by some fans as the best announcer of all time, returned to Raw on the latest episode and will be the permanent announcer for the show moving forward.

Chelsea Green and Piper Niven disrupt women’s tag match on NXT

The latest episode of NXT opened with Damage CTRL, comprising Iyo Sky and Kairi Sane, taking on Metafour. During the match, Piper Niven made a surprise appearance and pulled Jakara Jackson out of the ring to her with a clothesline. Meanwhile, Chelsea Green popped up in the ring and took down her tag team partner, Lash Legend.

The referee called off the match, and Metafour were declared as the winners due to disqualification. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions stood tall after laying a beatdown on all four competitors of the match.
