Chelsea Green and Piper Niven destroy Michin (via WWE and @diego_loveridge/X)
Michin seems to have picked a bone with Chelsea Green and her tag team partner, Piper Niven. The former Stardom superstar went face-to-face with the Scottish wrestler on the latest episode of SmackDown. The match ended with a shocking and brutal twist that not many fans expected.
Green had ended her two-month losing streak after defeating Michin last week on SmackDown. Unfortunately, her tag team partner did not fare so well against the same opponent. Yim landed the Sole Food, an inverted stomp facebreaker, to pick up a pinfall victory over Niven. Even after picking up the victory, things did not go so well for her.
Green immediately entered the ring after her partner ate the pinfall. She started throwing down punches on Mia Yim before going over to her tag team partner and telling Piper Niven to “kill her.” Miss Vyper hit her opponent with a Senton while The Hot Mess grabbed a trash can from the timekeeper’s area. The former Women’s Tag Team Champion then hit Michin with her signature move, the Unpretty-her, on the trash can.
Chelsea Green is generally portrayed as a comedy character who likes to avoid confrontation as much as possible. Fans had never seen such a brutal side of the Lunatic Lush. Despite being a heel, it was unlikely she would attack her opponents in such a manner after the match.
WWE veteran Dutch Mantell comments on Chelsea Green’s brutal beatdown of Michin on SmackDown
WWE veteran Dutch Mantell has been a huge advocate for Chelsea Green in the past. He thinks that she is the most entertaining member of the WWE women’s division and heavily condemned the company for releasing her back in 2021. Shortly after the latest episode of SmackDown went off the air, the erstwhile Zeb Colter had a few words to say about his favorite wrestler’s segment.
Speaking on Smack Talk, Mantell revealed that he loved the segment mainly because Green was in it. All he wanted was for the company to put her out there. Even if she just came out to the ring to walk around, it would be good enough for him.
The 33-year-old has been working double duty for the past few weeks. Alongside her appearances on the blue brand, she was also wrestling on NXT. The Canadian tried to get a title shot at Roxanne Perez and her NXT Women’s Championship. However, this majorly upset Giulia, who defeated Green on the latest episode of NXT.
