The rivalry between Roxanne Perez and Giulia took its next step on the latest episode of NXT. The champion and challenger have finally set a date for their face-off, and the 22-year-old’s title reign looks to be in more trouble than it ever has been before. The segment on the yellow brand also featured a hilarious appearance from Chelsea Green.
WWE recently announced that Giulia will be making her in-ring debut on the next episode of NXT against Green. This will be her first match since signing with the company in April. However, her opponent was clearly not interested in facing the former NJPW star. The Hot Mess took to X, claiming that she was too busy to participate in the match and asking General Manager Ava Raine to look into the matter. Meanwhile, her opponent also posted a message on X.
The latest episode of NXT featured Roxanne Perez coming down to the ring to cut a promo. She bragged about her victory against Jaida Parker at NXT No Mercy and claimed that she could not be topped. However, she was cut short by Green, who claimed to be the number-one contender for the NXT Women’s Championship.
WHAT?? I did NOT agree to this!!!!! Someone has made a big mistake and I’m very busy on Tuesdays. I can’t make it!!! @avawwe_ plz rectify this.
Chelsea Green on X
This statement was clearly not appreciated by Giulia. The lights went down, and the 30-year-old made her way to the ring. She laid out Chelsea Green and picked up the microphone to challenge Perez to a match for the NXT Women’s Championship on the CW debut episode of NXT.
Internal reaction to Giulia’s WWE debut revealed
Giulia made her WWE debut at NXT No Mercy following Roxanne Perez’s victory over Jaida Parker. She walked down to the ring to confront the NXT Women’s Champion, and fans were mesmerized by her. Now, the internal reactions to the Japanese superstar’s debut have also been revealed.
According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Radio, people in the company were highly impressed by her presence and aura. Although her appearance did not comprise any physicality or microphone exchanges, she was instantly recognizable and looked great in the process.
There will likely be a change in the 30-year-old’s wrestling style. She is infamous for her hard-hitting strikes and even has a reputation of going too stiff sometimes. Considering that she is headed to NXT, which is full of novice professional wrestlers, her strong style will likely be toned down. WWE would not want her hitting hard at people with only a fraction of her experience.
