Despite being the inaugural Women’s United States Champion, Chelsea Green faced humiliation on SmackDown. Although it wasn’t a title match, the bout lasted only a minute, and she lost to Zelina Vega via countout. Embarrassed and furious, Green took legal action against both the L.W.O. member and the referee who officiated the match.

The Hot Mess took to X and shared a picture that appeared to be a legal notice. After her humiliating loss to Zelina Vega on the latest episode of SmackDown, she hired lawyer Luca Crusifino, who has been appearing as a kayfabe attorney on NXT. The document, addressed to WWE management, stated that Chelsea Green’s loss was ‘highly questionable and completely unjust.’

The complaint claimed that the referee’s ten-count did not follow the standard WWE cadence. It stated that referees are required to count in a steady and consistent tempo. Green’s legal team has demanded a full review of the match, along with a ‘counting cadence retraining course’ for the referee involved.

The match began with Green launching a brutal attack on Vega and throwing her out of the ring. However, after tossing the former Queen of the Ring back inside, she got into an argument with the commentators and was counted out.

The crowd was just as confused as she was, questioning how quickly the referee reached the count of ten. As of now, the Women’s United States Champion doesn’t have a match at WrestleMania, but with tensions rising between her and Vega, that could change soon.

Vega didn’t take any of Green’s antics seriously, especially her threat to take legal action. Fed up with the excuses, the 34-year-old fired back on social media. The L.W.O. member expressed she was tired of Green constantly escaping with the Women’s U.S. Title, thanks to help from Piper Niven and Alba Fyre.

Vega took to X and challenged Green to a No Disqualification title match—with no Niven or Fyre at ringside. She mocked Green for always using her ‘presidential power’ to get her way. However, the 34-year-old was unfazed, confident not only about beating her but also taking what she believed was meant to be hers—the Women’s U.S. Title.

Sick of your shit. NO DQ. NO GOONS. TITLE ON THE LINE. You want to use your “presidential power” to swap out refs, Joe, whoever else? Fine… But at this point, it’s not just about beating you, it’s about taking what’s mine.

One of the best matches of her career came at WWE Backlash two years ago in front of her Puerto Rican fans, where she faced Rhea Ripley. Although she lost, she proved why she deserved the WWE Universe’s respect. Many fans now believe Vega will soon become the Women’s U.S. Champion.

After the six-woman tag team match was announced for the upcoming episode of SmackDown, the former Doudrop took to X and told Green to stay calm. She confidently claimed that the Green Party would destroy the team of Vega, Kayden Carter, and Katana Chance. The match will feature Green, Niven, and Fyre facing off against Vega and her partners.

Speaking of Fyre, the Scottish star returned on the March 7 episode of SmackDown, helping The Hot Mess retain her title against Mia Yim. The Secret Service recently missed a chance to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Tag Team Titles after losing to Lyra Valkyria and Bayley.
