Chelsea Green made history last month at Saturday Night’s Main Event by becoming the first-ever Women’s United States Champion. Since then, she has been reveling in her triumph as champion on SmackDown. During her celebratory run, Green was asked about her next goal in WWE. To everyone’s surprise, she revealed that her next aspiration is to bring her husband, Matt Cardona, back to WWE.

Speaking on Casual Conversation, The Hot Mess expressed that her husband, Matt Cardona, has always been her biggest supporter. However, she admitted feeling bad for him, as becoming a champion in WWE was his lifelong dream. Green shared that her new dream is to see Cardona achieve full closure in his professional wrestling career by returning to WWE and finally capturing championship gold.

I want to see Matt in WWE, honestly more than anything else, anything else that I even could want out of my career. I feel guilt because first of all, he supports me like no other. He’s so happy for me.

The 33-year-old star further shared that while her dream of becoming a WWE superstar came later in life, Matt Cardona‘s childhood was centered around the aspiration of becoming a WWE champion. Despite spending years with the company, he never received the spotlight he deserved. However, The Hot Mess emphasized that The Indy God is an incredible professional wrestler, proving his worth outside of WWE.

Now, after being successful and thriving outside WWE, Green believes Cardona has earned a comeback story that could finally fulfill his lifelong dream. Considering Green’s words, WWE might plan a return for the former United States Champion, potentially at Royal Rumble. It will be interesting to see if it actually happens in the Indianapolis PLE or not.
