It was an explosive signing made in the late hours of the ongoing transfer window for Arsenal, as they landed Raheem Sterling on a loan from Chelsea. Raheem Sterling was linked with Manchester United and Arsenal both. Despite the early talks making United the favorites to sign the English international, it was the involvement of Mikel Arteta who has formerly worked with Sterling, that tipped the scales.
To be here on the last day of the transfer window, to get someone like Raheem Sterling, which I believe will be someone very important for the squad, who is going to give a lot to the team, it's a pleasure. With the inclusion of Sterling, Arsenal will be hoping to bolster their ranks, especially after they drew against Brighton Hove and Albion in their latest fixture of the ongoing Premier League. Sterling’s speed will be a valuable addition to the wings which already has quite a few big names.
