The club wanted to sign him and loan him out to Strasbourg. However, the player was not interested in that policy, given that he wants to play for the first team of a big club next season.

The Blues have been scouting talented young players and buying them in the transfer market under the new ownership. de Souza has impressed them with his talents. de Souza, often dubbed the ‘new Marcelo,’ is a dynamic left-back. Known for his impressive defensive capabilities, he excels in ball recovery and one-on-one duels, boasting an 80% success rate. His versatility allows him to play as a winger or midfielder, showcasing his adaptability and technical skills.
