Pete O’Rourke of Football Insider has reported that Carney Chukwuemeka is ready to leave Chelsea permanently when his tenure on loan with Borussia Dortmund ends after the season. There is no clarity on where he could move next, but he does not see his future at the Stamford Bridge anymore.
The player has struggled to find his footing during his tenure at Chelsea. His time at Stamford Bridge has been affected by injuries and intense competition from the new signings made by the Blues. Enzo Maresca hardly used him, and he had no appearances in the Premier League and hence made his move to Borussia Dortmund on loan till the end of the season.
The midfielder is praised for his physical and technical prowess. His tall, imposing frame allows him to excel in duels and shield the ball effectively. Athletically gifted, he combines stamina with agility, making him tough to knock off the ball. Technically, he’s adept in tight spaces, showing great dribbling and passing skills, which enable him to play as both a box-to-box number 8 and a creative number 10.
So, he does have the quality and might go on to have a successful tenure on the German side. Many clubs were interested in signing the midfielder, but he chose Dortmund. So, he might go on to stay permanently in Germany if he performs well in his loan tenure.
AC Milan have a strategy in place for signing Joao Felix permanently from Chelsea in the summer transfer window
Calciomercato has reported that AC Milan will want to sign Joao Felix from Chelsea in the upcoming summer transfer window. The Blues will only offload the Portugal international for a profit, and hence Milan might have to pay at least €41.6 million in the summer. However, the source has stated that they might be willing to offer Rafael Leao in the deal.
Felix has struggled to cement his place in the starting lineup at the Stamford Bridge, and hence his stay at the club is not certain. He has appeared in 12 matches this season in the Premier League, playing a total of 363 minutes.
Felix has scored one goal in 12 matches so far in the Premier League 2024/2025 season. Overall, Felix’s goals scored per 90 minutes is 0.25. Moreover, his total G/A (goals + assists) is two for this season. His goal involvement equates to 0.5 per 90 minutes. His non-penalty xG per 90 minutes is 0.45.
The Portuguese has had a good start to his loan period in the Serie A by scoring in his debut game for Milan against AS Roma. If he goes on to perform well for the side, AC Milan might be willing to sign him permanently. The Blues also need a wide attacker, and Milan might offer Leao as an option to crack the deal.
