Chennaiyin FC sign Kyrgyzstan winger Mirlan Murzaev on a one-year deal

Chennaiyin FC have roped in foreign player Mirlan Murzaev on a one-year deal ahead of the upcoming ISL season, the club confirmed on Sunday.
Chennaiyin FC have bolstered their attacking unit by adding Mirlan Murzaev to their ranks. The 31-year-old has ample experience of having played for multiple clubs across various leagues. The Marina Machans will hope that his experience comes in handy for them.
Mirlan will don the yellow jersey during the upcoming edition of the ISL and will play a key role in the attacking position for the two-time champions.
“My thoughts on signing Mirlan are very simple. Two words in fact. Quality. Personality,” CFC’s head coach Bozidar Bandovic said.

Mirlan started his career at Molodyozhnaya Sbornaya in 2005 and made 33 appearances for the club. He also scored 17 goals for them before making a move Muras-Sport Bishkek, where he scored six goals in 10 matches. The winger spent three years with Dordoi Bishkek and scored 58 goals in 73 appearances. The 31-year-old is a goal machine, and one can expect him to score several goals in ISL 2021/22.
He played for several clubs during his early career. One such club where he scored 31 goals in 44 matches is the Kyrgyz Premier League side Dordoi Bishkek. He has had five stints with the club. He had 17 and three goals to his name from 16 and five appearances in his next two stints.
Mirlan is joining Chennaiyin FC from Dordoi Bishkek. He scored six goals in 10 matches during his latest stint with them.
“I’m just very very happy to join Chennaiyin FC. I can’t wait for the training, and season to start. I look forward to representing all the fans from Tamil Nadu,” the 31-year-old said.
