Despite the long-standing rivalry, the Kansas City Chiefs have never fallen short in showing respect to the Buffalo Bills star quarterback, Josh Allen. Even after defeating them a fourth time in the playoffs, not once did any of the Chiefs’ players undermine Allen or the Bills. Chris Jones once again highlighted the mutual respect that exists between the Bills and Chiefs.
Allen is coming off one of the best seasons of his career leading the NFL MVP race for the majority of the season, however, the Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson seems to have surpassed his odds. As the NFL reaches its climax, the discussions surrounding who will take the MVP home are heating up.
While many analysts and fans have debated between Allen and Jackson, the potential future Hall of Famer Jones publicly endorsed the Bills quarterback as the deserving candidate for the league’s most prestigious individual honor this season, over the two-time NFL MVP Jackson.

This isn’t the first time Jones has showered high praise on Allen. Ahead of the AFC championship game, he appreciated the Bills quarterback by calling him a “warrior,” keeping aside the rivalry. Now as the MVP race draws a close, it would be interesting to see if Jones’ sentiments resonated with the voters to appreciate Allen’s standout season as he truly deserves.
Julian Edelman compares Josh Allen to Ben Roethlisberger
This season, the Bills not only lost to the Chiefs fourth time but Allen dropped to the highest playoff losses, tying with Aaron Rodgers. Yet, the quarterback was not blamed for another season’s failure. Legendary Julian Edelman even gave him high words of support by drawing a comparison with the youngest Super Bowl-winning quarterback, Ben Roethlisberger.
The three-time Super Bowl champion believes a Patrick Mahomes-shaped demon has been created in the head of Allen, which he has to prevail in order to defeat the Chiefs. As the four playoff losses may appear as a significant setback but it isn’t the end of his career.
