Kansas City Chiefs defensive tackle Isaiah Buggs has been accused of animal cruelty in Tuscaloosa. A Civil Document filed on Wednesday suggested that the Alabama graduate is expected to face misdemeanor criminal charges.
On March 28, a petition was filed against 27-year-old Ruston, Louisiana native Isaiah Buggs at Tuscaloosa County Civil District Court. The local police received information about two dogs that were discovered abandoned on the back porch of 5153 Diamond Circle.
The two dogs: a Pitbull and a Rottweiler were malnourished due to longer periods without any food or water. Police handed both of them to Tuscaloosa Animal Control. Unfortunately, the Pitbull was euthanized shortly after heartworm treatment failed, which resulted in aggressive behavior.
Ryan Phillips of Patch.com reported that the Police investigation found the house belonged to Isaiah Buggs. However, the Alabama graduate was nowhere near the vicinity. A report revealed that Buggs left the house after failing to pay $3,116.90 in back rent on April 15th. He moved out of the house one month later on March 19th.
There haven’t been any statements from Buggs as of yet who entered the NFL as a sixth-round pick in the 2019 draft for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Since then he signed with the Las Vegas Raiders, the Detroit Lions, and most recently the reigning Super Bowl champions, the Kansas City Chiefs.

The off-season horrors continues for the Chiefs
The 2024 offseason has almost been a disaster for the Chiefs. Shortly after winning back-to-back Championships, the Kansas shooting took place on Valentines’ Day. One unfortunate soul lost their lives and several ended up in the hospital.
Then second-year receiver Rashee Rice found himself totaling a couple of high-speed cars on the Dallas freeway. He was arrested for aggravated assault, six counts of collision involving injuries along one count of serious injuries of collision. The SMU graduate turned himself in and was subsequently let go with the case still pending a resolution in the court.
Rice then allegedly hit a photographer in May outside of a club in Dallas near his hood. However, no charges were filed against him after the victim refused to do so.

Fast forward to May, offensive tackles Jason Godrick and Wanya Morris ended up in Police custody after they confiscated marijuana from the two players. Like Rice, they were also released without any further repercussions.
Yet the biggest talking point of the Chiefs offseason has to be Harrison Butker’s speech. The Super Bowl-winning placekicker at the commencement ceremony of Kansas City Benedictine College spoke about Joe Biden‘s failure to be a good Catholic President and women’s role in the Catholic world. He has been called many names, from sexist to hate monger for apparent misogynistic views.
