Patrick Mahomes caused people to raise eyebrows with his pre-Super Bowl LIX outfit
There are just a few hours left until Super Bowl LIX gets underway and the players have boarded their respective team buses from their hotels to escort them to the Caesars Superdome. All eyes are on Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs to determine if this team can make history.
However, there is another reason that all eyes fell on Patrick Mahomes as he emerged from the hotel and into the team bus. That was his choice of outfit. Mahomes is a fashionable guy, he likes to dress up and play with colors that complement his skin.
Like a true professional, he shows up to playoff games and Super Bowls wearing a suit, usually classic solids such as grey, beige, navy, or black but since Super Bowl LIX is in New Orleans, Mahomes appears to have gone crazy with his choice of suit for the day.
Patrick Mahomes is decked up in olive green from head to toe
The quarterback chose to wear a checked suit with two shades of green. The double-breasted suit gives the illusion of being made from tweed when seen from a distance but a closer look confirms that the colors make it look that way. What’s more ridiculous than wearing a green chequered suit? Pair it up with a green tie featuring unique patterns on it.
Patrick Mahomes rocked his iconic shades to complete the look. His inspiration while dressing up for the Super Bowl seems to be ‘The Riddler’, the popular supervillain in the DC Universe as he too likes to sport a green suit. It is ironic to see the quarterback decked up in all green considering that it is the team color of the Philadelphia Eagles.

If he is attempting to send a statement early on with this choice of outfit then mission successful. Nick Wright of FS1 described Mahomes’ outfits perfectly. “Mahomes outfit choice is the behaviour of a true psychopath and I fully support it.”
To wear your opponents’ colors while on the way to script history and beat them for the second time in three years is truly psychopathic behavior. Fortunately, psychopaths are what make football entertaining, take Tom Brady for instance. However, he limited his share of ‘psycho’ to within the field and did not extend it to his wardrobe.
