A bizarre incident took place at Arrowhead Stadium involving Travis Kelce. The Amazon Prime camera crew followed the Kansas City Chiefs’ tight end, but a staffer stopped them right at the entrance of the tunnel.

The 2025 Christmas was more emotional for Kelce compared to other years. According to reports, it may have been his final home game, as the Chiefs are no longer competing for a playoff spot.

Before kickoff, Kelce appeared emotional as the national anthem echoed through the Chiefs’ stadium. The Chiefs went on to lose the game, with Kelce adding 5 catches to his season’s tally.

The media surrounded Kelce as he waved at the Arrowhead bleacher, possibly for one final time. By the looks of it, they attempted to tail him into the stadium tunnel, but a staffer posted at the entrance blocked the path.

The staffer’s behavior divided the internet. Some praised him for protecting the players’ privacy, while others condemned his actions, arguing that the camera crew was only doing their job.

The staff members handle a variety of tasks on game day. Without individuals like them, chaos would befall inside the venue, as shown in the next clip.

The staff member’s behavior might have seemed a bit crude, but he made sure coach Andy Reid’s time wasn’t wasted. Even after the final whistle, coaches have numerous responsibilities to manage, including conducting media interviews, reviewing game footage, and addressing players in the locker room. More importantly, they must wrap it up quickly in order to get some well-deserved rest.

Travis Kelce delivered his honest opinion about the Chiefs’ 2025 NFL season

Kelce returned to play in his 13th season to wash away the disappointment of losing in Super Bowl LIX. However, the Chiefs regressed in 2025 season. The Los Angeles Chargers knocked the KC franchise out of playoff qualification in early December, which ended their dominance in the AFC West.

The Chiefs are 6-10 after losing their fifth straight game. Kelce claimed that he let coach Reid down for failing to be a true leader this year.

It’s frustrating, man, it’s frustrating. I feel like I can’t even look my guy, coach Andy Reid, in his eyes right now, just because I feel like I disappointed or I just let him down in some way, somehow throughout the year.

Travis Kelce said in a sit-down interview with fellow Chiefs legend Tony Gonzalez before the game on Prime Video (H/T: Sports Illustrated)

Reid brought Kelce to the Chiefs. Together with Patrick Mahomes, the Chiefs won three Super Bowls and numerous conference titles. However, the journey must end someday. Even the Patriots’ dynasty ended after Tom Brady left. It’s unlikely that Kelce would play for another NFL team other than the Chiefs. So, the only two options are either to hang up his cleats or to come back next year and try again.

Kelce isn’t the only one in the twilight of his career. Coach Reid, 67, is among the winningest coaches of all time. He has won everything there is to win, so it would not come as a surprise if he joined Kelce in retirement.

Then again, he, too, may come back and accomplish the unfinished business of bringing in another ring before the Chiefs relocate to Missouri.

I’ve followed big coach Andy Reid; he’s done it with integrity, a lot of love, and care for the people around him. He tries to build everybody up around him… It’s just second nature following his lead, keeping everybody focused, locked in, having fun, and ready to win football games.

Kelce said about Reid

The Chiefs take on the Las Vegas Raiders in the final week of the regular season. Kelce will be on the flight, unlike Mahomes or Gardner Minshew.
