The Kansas City Chiefs receive some positive news on the special teams end of the ball. The team is getting star kicker Harrison Butker back after he was out on the sidelines since Week 10. He had suffered a knee injury last month, which resulted in him being placed on the injured reserve.
In the interim, the Kansas City Chiefs had started Matthew Wright who has served them well so far. The team announced via X that they have opened the 21-day practice window for Harrison Butker. He is expected to start in the team’s Week 15 matchup against the Cleveland Browns.
Apart from Harrison Butker, the Chiefs have activated wide receiver Hollywood Brown just in time. With him on offense, Patrick Mahomes will get another speedster to whom he can throw the ball.

The return of Butker comes just in time as the playoffs will begin in three weeks. The Chiefs are 21-1 heading into their Week 15 matchup.
Harrison Butker underwent knee surgery in November
Harrison Butker went down in November with a torn meniscus. He subsequently underwent knee surgery and has since recovered. Whenever Butker has been on the field for the Chiefs, the team has not had to worry about the outcome of field goal kicks as he is one of the most consistent players in the league.
In a shocking move, the Chiefs released Matthew Wright just days after he kicked the game-winning field goal for the team in their 19-17 win against the Los Angeles Chargers. Wright was named the NFL Special Teams Player of the Week, and he was released just days later.
As for Marquise ‘Hollywood’ Brown, the wideout had sustained a sternoclavicular joint dislocation during the preseason and was then placed on IR. Now that he has the opportunity to debut for the Chiefs, he will look to have a significant impact on the team’s offense which has remained inconsistent throughout the regular season.
