They often use these moments to generate tension and psychological intimidation against their upcoming opponents. Recently, one such face-off went viral and broke the internet. This particular event was between professional boxers Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn.

Chris Eubank Jr. and Conor Benn are scheduled to face each other in a middleweight boxing bout in a few weeks. Before the fight, the two professional boxers met at a pre-fight press conference at Manchester Central. During this event, Eubank Jr. and Benn created chaos during their face-off. As such, both of the British boxers engaged in a brawl.

Eubank Jr. played a central role in igniting the brawl when he smashed an egg on his opponent’s face. The situation escalated to the point where security personnel had to intervene to resolve the conflict. Given their historical rivalry, this incident doesn’t come as a shock to the general public. Notably, the intense rivalry between Eubank Jr. and Benn has its roots in their fathers, who also competed against each other.

In October 2022, Eubank Jr. and Benn were set to fight each other. However, complications on the latter’s side led to the cancellation of the match. Now, years later, both British boxers have the opportunity to face off again. With a resurgence in the boxing world, Saudi GEA chairman Turki Alalshikh personally wanted to see the two second generation boxers collide in the ring.

Chris Eubank Jr. is a 35-year-old boxing veteran who made his professional debut in 2011. Since then, the British boxer has defeated several formidable opponents. Most recently, he triumphed over Kamil Szeremeta and won the vacant IBO middleweight title. However, instead of pursuing another championship opportunity, Eubank Jr. appears more interested in facing 28-year-old Conor Benn.

Notably, their initial clash was called off for one major reason: Benn tested positive for banned substances ahead of the fight. Interestingly, in light of this controversial chapter of the 28-year-old boxer’s career, Eubank Jr. seized the opportunity to mock him. As a result, the 35-year-old boxer smashed an egg on Benn’s face.

Apparently egg contamination was the reason for his two failed drugs tests. So I contaminated him with an egg.

Interestingly, unlike Eubank Jr., Benn has an impressive undefeated record in professional boxing. Given the dominating performances of the hungry 28-year-old boxer, it will be fascinating to see how he fights against his fellow compatriot.
