Judging from the reigning Super Bowl champions’ offseason moves, they are not leaving any stone unturned in their preparation for the history three-peat. While adding solid weapons to the offense, they also solidified the defense by offering Chris Jones an extension. 

Now that they have also improved the receiving corps, the Kansas City Chiefs have built a roster packed with talents, entering the 2024 NFL season. Coming back to the defense part, the star defensive tackle Jones expressed his enthusiasm for his chemistry with his teammates in Kansas City.

Jones signed his extension with the Chiefs earlier this offseason, in March. He has been actively participating in the offseason program and the mandatory minicamp with the entire team, whose chemistry he claimed is perfect for the preseason and the training camps.

The star defensive player also expressed his excitement for the training camps, which are scheduled to begin on July 23 for the next five weeks.

Jones is the biggest contributor to the Chiefs’ defense and uncertainties about his future mean a critical position for the franchise. That’s why Kelce made a special request to his teammate, urging him to come back as he wishes to win another Super Bowl together

Coming off an All-Pro season, Jones signed a $160 million contract extension with the Chiefs, with a $31.8 million per year average for five years.
