It appears the Kansas City Chiefs’ defensive star Chris Jones’ wish for his 30th birthday is the historic three-peat that his team is aiming for. Just a day after his birthday, the defensive tackle posted a fiery message on his social media.

Ever since signing the record-breaking $158.75 million deal with the Chiefs, Jones has been super excited about the upcoming 2024 season. He even cited that the team chemistry couldn’t be better after winning their second consecutive Super Bowl trophy. And now he only has one agenda– to bring his team to the ultimate glory of three consecutive Super Bowl trophies.

The motivational video featured renowned athletes and motivational speakers talking about the roadmap to rise above normalcy and stating that for one to achieve greatness, one needs to work greatly.

From his contract negotiation to wanting to bring his former players into the Chiefs roster, the star defensive tackle has always been upfront about the things he wishes to achieve. And given, how he has been talking about the 2024 season, it appears Jones wouldn’t stop until he led the Chiefs to the historic three-peat and engraved its name in the pages of history.

Chris Jones requests reduced training camp schedule

With that being said, the former Defensive Player of the Year reportedly asked his head coach to reduce his practice time in the training camp since he is getting old. Jones himself revealed that he asked Andy Reid to allow him to skip a few practice sessions.

I can feel it. I can feel when we have a day on training camp. Give me like two days off and one day on then, and we maybe can work something out, you know?

There has also been news of the defensive player’s potential retirement earlier this year as he claimed he wishes to retire with his teammate, Travis Kelce– who wants to retire after four or five years playing in the NFL. Jones believes if his workload is managed, then he can give his full on the gameday and bring out results.
