Chris Russo loathed CBS' coverage of the AFC Championship game between Chiefs and Bills for bad camera angles and possible made-up stories.

CBS Sports saw 57.7 million views during the AFC Championship game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Buffalo Bills. The numbers didn’t impress Chris Russo. His focus was more on the broadcast itself rather than the viewership.

Sunday’s clash at Arrowhead had several storylines to talk about. From ghost flags to multiple controversial penalties and even a fourth down quarterback sneak that created an online war among analysts. Russo wasn’t oblivious to any of them; rather, he put CBS on a pedestal for using bad camera angles to not invest much time in the evaluation of each debatable refereeing decision.

CBS did poorly. What an atrocious job at the end of the Buffalo-Kansas City game there on Sunday afternoon.

Chris Russo’s Dalton Kincaid conundrum

According to the veteran sports analyst, CBS hampered the viewer experience and gave birth to most of the controversial moments. Russo pointed out the Bills tight end Dalton Kincaid’s dropped catch from Josh Allen’s pass, late in the game.

It is so horrific about not showing you the proper replay! You can’t tell how bad it is, his body’s in front. That is ridiculous. Terrible!

Russo spared announcers Jim Nantz and Tony Romo. He thought the pair were professional in their job while pointing out a flag in the Kincaid drop. However, no flag was shown during the broadcast, which ticked him off.

They had the yellow flag on the field…Jimmy [Jim Nantz], for 10 minutes, told us, ‘Hold on now, let’s see if there’s a flag; we think there’s a flag.’ And we didn’t even know there was no flag!

Chris Russo added

CBS originally mistakenly played a different Kincaid catch instead of the drop before calling a flag on the field which never made it on screen.

I’m not a TV expert, but when I see something that’s bad, I see something that’s bad. That, my friends, was terrible by CBS.

The 65-year-old makes his feelings clear whenever he sees choppy broadcasting. Last year, he torched CBS for airing Taylor Swift too much during the Super Bowl matchup between the Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers.

In the AFC Championship game, she was on for 38 seconds. Alright, that sounds like not that big of a deal. This past week, she was on for 55 seconds. [But] they went to that box 12 times. 12 TIMES! He only caught one ball in the first half. I’m not interested! They couldn’t pick out Len Dawson out of a lineup for crying out loud!

Chris Russo ranted

His ’38 seconds’ myth was broken later on as Swift’s appearance time was much shorter. Well, he better buckle up for New Orleans because there’s bound to be more of the pop icon, as she will undoubtedly be present in New Orleans to cheer for her boyfriend Travis Kelce, as he and the Chiefs look to secure a three-peat.
