Christian says his future on WWE is unclear

The Captain Charisma of WWE made his return to the ring at WWE Royal Rumble 2021. Since Christian made his return, fans are eager to know what the future holds for him at WWE. But, Christian revealed in a recent interview that his future in WWE is still unclear.

Christian was forced to retire in 2014 due to his injuries. But he has remained a fan-favorite, so WWE got him back in roles that did not require him to wrestle. Since he returned to Royal Rumble, it seems like he has been cleared to make an in-ring return.

One of the highlights of the 2021 Royal Rumble was when Christian returned and embraced his best-friend Edge. The WWE Universe has since been hoping that Christian might team up again with the Royal Rumble winner Edge.

But recently Christian revealed on WWE’s The Bump that he had no idea that what is next for him in WWE. “No decisions have been made and I’m not sure at this point. It’s still to be determined…if that ends up being my last match, then I did it on my terms and that’s what I wanted… I would love to team with Edge again.”

Who could Christian go after if he returns?

Like Christian mentioned in the interview, there are numerous dream matches that he could be booked for. He has been an excellent performer, and his performance at Royal Rumble proves that he still has a long way to go.

Christian’s last match before he made his return was a fatal-four way match. It was for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Interestingly, even then the Champion was Big E. WWE could build on that to start a feud now.

Apart from that the option of teaming him up with Edge is always open. Considering Edge will be going after Roman Reigns, we could see them teaming up against The Usos.
