Angel Reese has not left anything to imagination in her attempts to build a brand off the court. She wants to make her name as not just a basketball star, but also as a culture shifter.

The Chicago Sky star has delved mostly into fashion, as she has openly admitted her love for that industry. After her rookie campaign, she appeared in several events.

That helped her transition into being the 1st-ever professional athlete to walk at the famed Victoria’s Secret fashion show this year. With other appearances, Reese is doing her bit to make her mark in that industry.

Along with fashion, she has also become an entrepreneur, starting a production company, clothing company, and also investing in soccer franchises and other sports leagues.

Basketball is not gonna be forever… I think it’s important to understand every gift that God has given you… We have to use all of our gifts. So why not be mobile off the court?

Ciara said on Unapologetically Angel

The musical superstar said this to Angel Reese, reminding her that if one has the talent, then they should use it to the fullest. After all, the sport she is playing will not be there forever.

Ciara believes that after a point, the body starts to give up. By then, if one does not have an alternative career, it becomes difficult. She gave her blessings to Reese and asked her to continue flourishing the way she is currently doing.

Angel Reese focusing on developing her game this offseason

Last offseason, Angel Reese courted some criticism for spending all of her time promoting her brand. Some were of the opinion that she should have focused on developing her basketball skills.

She did work on her game briefly before her debut in Unrivaled. Reese had worked alongside Hall of Famer Lisa Leslie and Minnesota Lynx star Napheesa Collier. At the time, that workout was deemed to be enough, as the 23-year-old performed well in Unrivaled, helping her Rose BC to the league’s first-ever championship.

However, that did not translate immediately into her 2nd WNBA season. Over time, she managed to improve her performance and earned her 2nd All-Star selection.

Despite that improvement, her well-wishers hoped she would work on her game in the offseason. It seems the Maryland native heard their suggestions, as she has been working out with a coach.

Video clips show the Sky star working on her footwork, off-hand layups, and her movement inside the paint area. Since she has decided to rest rather than play in Unrivaled this season, it seems the forward is intent on improving in every aspect she can.

Angel Reese and Reebok sponsor her alma mater

Other than developing her game and expanding her brand, Angel Reese has also delved into helping the community. She has already donated basketball courts to her place of work.

She has also helped children with their school supplies through her foundation, Angel C. Reese Foundation. The superstar has also collaborated with Magic Johnson to provide financial education in her home state of Maryland.

Now, she has decided to collaborate with another sponsor to help her alma mater. The 6′ 3″ forward looped in Reebok to sponsor Saint Frances Academy in Baltimore, Maryland.

A video clip shared by the superstar reveals the student-athletes wearing Reebok-sponsored jerseys and shorts. The program’s head coach was also seen sporting Reese’s signature shoe, the AR-1.

It seems the Sky star wants to help those from her neighborhood as much as she can, and sponsoring them with their kits is one way to do it.
