World No.3 and second-seeded Dominic Thiem will be back in action after a long break. The 26-year old Austrian will square off against Filip Krajinovic of Serbia in the second round clash at the Cincinnati Open 2020. While Thiem got a first-round bye, the 28-year old Serb defeated Salvatore Caruso of Italy 7-5, 6-4 in the Round of 64.

Dominic Thiem has had a good season so far, it is a shame that he is yet to win a title in 2020. The Austrian was primed to win the Australian Open after leading Novak Djokkovic by two sets to one in the final. However, he did not manage to beat the 17-time Grand Slam champion. Thiem’s performance in Melbourne has been his best this season. On the other hand, World No.32 Krajinovic lost to Roger Federer in second round at the Australian Open. His best performance this year has been at ATP 500 event in Rotterdam, where he emerged as a semifinalist.

To guess the winner of this match is not that hard to predict. Thiem should be able to easily prevail over Krajinovic. The match should not even go to the distance. It should be an easy affair for the Austrian unless the Serb comes with something special.
