Two-time Grand Slam champion Naomi Osaka is set to square off against 16th-seed Dayana Yastremska in a third-round encounter at the Cincinnati Open 2020. The two young girls will look at nothing except a win to book their place in the last-eight.

Talking about the performance, fourth-seed Osaka got a first-round bye. In the second round, though, the 22-year old Japanese had to fight hard before overcoming the challenge of Karolina Muchova in three sets 6-7, 6-4, 6-3.

On the other hand, Yastremska had a tough draw. In the Round of 64, the 20-year old Ukrainian battled past veteran and local favourite Venus Williams 5-7, 6-2, 7-5. In the next round, she faced another American and again she had to dig deep to progress to the Round of 16. Yastremska overcame the challenge of Bernarda Pera in three sets 7-6, 4-6, 6-3 in a Round of 32 match.

Nevertheless, the match is destined to be long and go to the distance.
