The rising UFC Heavyweight prospect Ciryl Gane is booked to face Alexander Volkov in his next match-up at UFC Fight Night on 26th June. This news is officially announced by Brett Okamoto as sources told him.
Ciryl Gane is still undefeated in his MMA career and he made a name for himself by knocking out the former Heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos on UFC 256. After this, he won his last fight against Jairzinho Rozenstruik by unanimous decision of the judges.
With these wins, he is currently ranked number 4th in the UFC Heavyweight division rankings. His opponent Alexander Volkov is also one of the rising contenders of the Heavyweight division who is just coming from a win against the former title contender Alistair Overeem.
He is currently ranked number 5 in the UFC Heavyweight division rankings and he won three of his last five fights. Volkov lost two fights, one against Curtis Blaydes and one against Derrick Lewis. With a win against Ciryl Gane, he can get a chance to take his revenge on them.

The number two-ranked UFC Heavyweight fighter Derrick Lewis is also been called out by Ciryl Gane but after Jon Jones demanded the highest paycheck of his entire career to face Francis Ngannou, Dana White is leaning to book a rematch between Derrick Lewis and Francis Ngannou.
Although nothing is finalized yet, the division is having a new champion crowned at UFC 260 and the top-ranked fighters are still waiting for their fights to be booked. But this fight will also play an important role in match-making.
