CJ Gardner-Johnson walks the walk and talks the talk. The cornerback who returned to the Philadelphia Eagles in the offseason has a loud personality and came out right after the team’s first game of the season. Shortly after his team beat the Green Bay Packers in Brazil 34-29, Gardner-Johnson went on a rant online.
During the game, CJ Gardner-Johnson missed a few tackles, to which a few keyboard critics began to criticize him and call him out for having a big mouth. The corner was not having it, he decided to go live on Instagram and had some colorful words for them.
F**k what ya talkin’ bout. You know what’s crazy, I do the dirty work as a Safety. They don’t understand tackling. You know how hard it is to make a tackle open field on a n**** going 100MPH?…
CJ Gardner-Johnson said
He pointed out that being a corner is no joke, after all, he has to chase and bring down some of the fastest and most athletic men. The safety continued by throwing a challenge out there to the critics.
Every d*** sucking fan that wanna say something. I want y'all to come to practice and imma have AJ Brown do exactly what bro did and have his a** coming downhill...I missed 2 tackles the whole game.CJ Gardner-Johnson added
Odds are nobody is going to take up Gardner-Johnson on that challenge. Just remember, he ran the 40 in 4.49 seconds.

CJ Gardner-Johnson cost the Philadelphia Eagles a touchdown
His biggest mistake of the Friday night came in the form of a miscue against Jayden Reed when he missed badly on an open-field tackle. Eventually, this led to the Green Bay Packers converting on a 70-yard touchdown with 5:11 to go in the second quarter.

The criticism he was subject to over this mistake is what frustrated Gardner-Johnson the most. Irrespective of the small mistake, the Eagles were able to close the game out and win in unfamiliar territory. The first international game in Brazil was nothing short of a challenge for both teams as the field conditions were far from ideal.

Players were slipping on it throughout the game. For C.J. Gardner-Johnson, his return to the Philadelphia Eagles comes a year after he signed with the Detroit Lions yet failed to make a big splash with the team. He was on reserve for most of the year after suffering a torn pec in Week 2 of the season. This year, he will look to re-establish himself as the top dog amongst cornerbacks.
