If CJ Stroud had the chance to emulate the careers of Eli Manning and Aaron Rodgers, he would pick the former New York Giants’ quarterback. For Stroud, the choice was a no-brainer because Manning has a massive advantage over the New York Jets under center.

Both Manning and Rodgers have had a great career, glittered with Pro Bowls and several individual records. However, the former Giant has Rodgers beat where it matters the most. The quantity of Super Bowl rings.

Stroud believes Rodgers is an elite quarterback and up there with the best, but he would choose Eli over him because he has won two Super Bowls compared to the 40-year-old’s one.

During the recent episode of Million Dollaz Podcast, the Houston Texans quarterback dropped several truth bombs. One of them was picking Manning over Rodgers.

You want the rings man… Eli’s got two.
CJ Stroud said

Aaron Rodgers tasted Super Bowl glory by defeating the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2011 while playing for the Green Bay Packers. Even though he has four NFL MVPs, Rodgers has yet to reach the same stage since then.

Despite picking Eli Manning, CJ Stroud claimed Aaron Rodgers is an all-time great

Manning’s two Super Bowls came beating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. However, from a quarterback’s standpoint, any football fan would vouch that Rodgers is up there with the likes of Troy Aikman, Peyton Manning, and Terry Bradshaw. Even Stroud agreed that the 10-time Pro Bowler is an all-time great.

Rodgers’ 103.6 career passer rating ranks first in the NFL (and he will play his 20th season in 2024) along with the best touchdowns to interception ratio (475 to 105). Regardless of failing to play in the big game, he ranks second in all-time passing touchdowns in the postseason with 45 and fourth in passing yards with 5894.

Unlike Manning, Rodgers is still going strong even after returning from a torn Achilles. He has plans to play until his 45 so, there will be plenty of opportunities to win a couple of more rings.

CJ Stroud, on the other hand, is just starting and his rookie season set the expectation high for the Texans. He recorded 319 completions for 4108 yards with a league-high average of 273.9 yards per thrown, throwing 23 touchdowns and just 5 interceptions with a passer rating of 100.8 along with 3 rushing touchdowns.
