The Los Angeles Dodgers have been hit with a huge roadblock. The high-flying World Series champions have suffered a massive skid in form. On Sunday, a frustrated Clayton Kershaw would cut an interview in short as his team got swept aside by the Milwaukee Brewers again.
The Dodgers had won 9 of their last 10 games before they faced off against the Houston Astros at Dodger Stadium. In the 2017 World Series rematch, the Astros dominated the Dodgers and outscored them 29-6 en route to sweeping them.
There were no changes in fortunes for the team as the Brewers demolished them 9-1 in the first matchup between these two teams this season. The National League Central side went on to win the next two games as well and swept the Dodgers. This was a second consecutive series, where the LA side had been swept apart.
Following their 8-7 loss against the San Francisco Giants, the Dodgers closed out the 1st half of the season with back-to-back wins over their rivals. After the All-Star break, the team once again squared off against the Brewers.
In the first game since the break, the Dodgers got shut out 2-0 by the Brewers. They would then lose 8-7 on Saturday and were staring at another series sweep.
Clayton Kershaw, who was on the mound for the team on Sunday, was not happy with the defensive errors from the team. The team made a series of errors on the field, which led to a 3-run 4th inning for the Brewers.
After he exited the mound and headed to the dugout, Kershaw’s temper boiled up. The 11-time MLB All-Star threw away his glove and his hat in disgust.

Those errors would cost the team as they lost 6-5 and got swept by the Brewers for the second time this month. While speaking with the reporters after the game, Kershaw would deliver a blunt message to the team before cutting the interview short.
I don’t make anything of it. They beat us. We need to play better tomorrow. I don’t. I don’t have much to say. I’m going to get myself in trouble. So let’s just, let’s just call it.
Clayton Kershaw told the reporters
Kershaw would throw 4.1 innings in this game and give up 2 earned runs, and managed to pick up 2 strikeouts. His overall record for the season remains 4-1 as he got a no-decision from this game.
Clayton Kershaw and Dodgers suffer historic season sweep at hands of the Brewers
Clayton Kershaw and his team, the Los Angeles Dodgers, lost once again on Sunday as some poor defensive plays cost them the game. With the loss, they suffered a historic season sweep at the hands of the Milwaukee Brewers.

Before their skid in form, the Dodgers had only been swept once in the season (by the Los Angeles Angels). After the Houston Astros crushed them in the 3-game series, the team ended up getting swept in back-to-back series.
On Sunday, the Brewers completed their 2nd series sweep of the Dodgers. They are now just the third team after the 2006 St. Louis Cardinals (seven games) and the 1994 Atlanta Braves (six games) to sweep the Dodgers in a season series (minimum 5 games).
The Dodgers will finish with a 6-0 record against the Brewers in the regular season this year. Following this loss, their record stands at 58-42 while their lead for the top spot in the NL West Standings has fallen to 3.5 games.
The Brewers, on the other hand, are on the rise. The win on Sunday was their 10th successive win, which has seen them tie the Chicago Cubs for the first spot in the NL Central at 59-40. The two NL Central sides face each other next week in a 3-game series in Milwaukee.
