The Cleveland Cavaliers achieved the NBA's first 10-0 season start since the 2015-16 Golden State Warriors.

The Cleveland Cavaliers crushed Stephen Curry and his side, the Golden State Warriors 136-117 at Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse on Friday, advancing to a 10–0 record with passion. In this process, they achieved an incredible feat in the NBA since 2015-16. The Cavs became the first team to start 10-0 this 2024-25 NBA season since the 2015-16 Warriors’ side.
The Warriors entered this game with a strong 7-1 record, defeating the 2023 NBA title holders, Boston Celtics, at the TD Garden. However, against the Cavs, they could not hold their ground. The Cavs dominated throughout the first half of the game. Warriors star players Stephen Curry and Draymond Green had poor performances as per their standards.
With 27 points (6/10 three-pointers) and six assists, Darius Garland led the Cavaliers. Evan Mobley came next with 23 points, four rebounds, four assists, and two blocks. Isaac Okoro contributed 16 points, going 4-for-6 from the three-point range, while Ty Jerome added 20 points off the bench, making all three of his three-pointers.

In the second half, the Warriors outscored the Cleveland Cavaliers 75–53 thanks to improved play. But it was impossible to overcome the massive deficit. Brandin Podziemski added 14 points to Jonathan Kuminga‘s 21 points. With 12 points, Stephen Curry recorded his lowest point total (12) of the season. Up next for the Warriors is the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Paycom Center.

The Cleveland Cavaliers are on a roll this season. After beating the Golden State Warriors in their most recent matchup, they are showing no signs of stopping. With this win, the Cavs are now 10-0 in the 2024-25 NBA season.

Cleveland Cavaliers has already set a franchise record for the best start to a season with an 8-0 start. Additionally, Kenny Atkinson was the first head coach to start a season with his new team with a 9–0 record.
On Saturday, when they host the Brooklyn Nets, they will try to improve their record to 11-0. It remains to be seen how the Cavs perform throughout the 2024-25 NBA season.
