The Cleveland Cavaliers are flying in the 2024-25 NBA season, winning five out of five games. Their most recent win came against the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. Also, their former player LeBron James and his son Bronny James were warmly welcomed before the game. The Lakers suffered their second consecutive loss under HC JJ Redick.

During the game, the Lakers’ stars were dominated by the Cavaliers. Donovan Mitchell contributed 24 points, Evan Mobley scored 25, and Jarrett Allen scored 20 points and pulled down 17 rebounds for the Cavs. However, during their side’s win, the Cavs fans chanted “We want Bronny” in the arena. This chanting seemed like a dig towards the Lakers rookie.

One fan wrote on X, “This feels like trolling.” It’s important to note that Bronny James will be joining the South Bay Lakers. He will be playing in the G-League to develop his gameplay. Many have stated that Bronny is not at the NBA level at the current juncture. Hence, this move will be beneficial for him and the Lakers.

LeBron James had 26 points against his former side. Bronny also got his first NBA points against the Cavs. However, this was unable to secure a Lakers victory away from home. The Lakers will play the Toronto Raptors on Friday to continue their journey on the road. All expectations will be on James and Co. to get back to winning ways against the Raptors.

Since Bronny James was drafted as the 55th overall pick during the 2024 NBA Draft by the Los Angeles Lakers, he has been the subject of heavy criticism. Some fans have termed his move to the NBA as ‘nepotism.’ However, Bronny is unfazed by all the noise.

Bronny received great applause after scoring his first NBA points in his career. They also chanted his name.
