Devin Booker and Kevin Durant left stunned by Clippers Fan Wall
The Phoenix Suns narrowly escaped with a win over the Los Angeles Clippers in their season opener at the brand-new Intuit Dome, home of the Clippers. While the game was a thriller from start to finish, the main attraction of the game was the $2 Million new home of the Clippers, which saw its first NBA regular season action last night. However, Devin Booker and Kevin Durant did not escape without facing the brunt of the new ‘fan wall’ at the Intuit Dome.
On Wednesday night, the Clippers debuted their brand-new stadium. Even though the home team couldn’t secure a win, the fans did not fail to do their job. In a post-game interview, Devin Booker addressed the impact of the Clippers’ fan wall, which proved to be a major distraction for the opposition team on the road.

"I missed a free throw, man, I was pissed. I think (KD) missed two down there, so that shit might work!”
I reminded him that Nurkic made clutch free throws down there.

Booker, of course, was referring to the new fan wall built into the Intuit Dome. The wall is a 51-row-long section positioned right behind the opposing team’s basket. The special feature of the wall? No opposing team fans are allowed to be seated there or cheer for other teams. The seats are dedicated to Clippers fans only, with the cheering fans right in the line of sight of players attempting to shoot.

Devin Booker and Suns survive Clippers home arena scare in clutch win
The Wall seems to be incredibly useful for the Clippers as it forced Suns stars Devin Booker and Kevin Durant to both miss free throws due to the distraction it poses. Ironically, it was a missed free throw by Clippers star James Harden that ultimately allowed the Suns to come out on top.
With less than 10 seconds left in the game, Harden was settled at the free throw line with a chance to score two free throws to clinch the game. However, The Beard missed his second free throw before a last-second fumble, which ultimately cost the Clippers the game at their first game in the Intuit Dome.
The Suns managed to pull away late to clinch their first victory of the season. The game ended with Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal carrying the team in overtime after Devin Booker fouled out of the game late in the fourth quarter. The Suns will remain in California for the next couple of days as they take their entourage to the Crypto.com Arena to face the Los Angeles Lakers on Friday night.
