The inaugural episode of Raw on Netflix was headlined by the heated feud between Seth Rollins and CM Punk. Both superstars were visibly emotionally charged during their fight and were giving it their all to put the other one away. The Second City Saint eventually came out on top and cut an incredible promo following his victory.
Following his match against Seth Rollins, Punk gave an interview with Jackie Redmond ringside after the show went off the air. He was flinching and groaning with pain. The interviewer even mentioned how the match had taken a huge toll on him. The Chicagoan said that 46 was just a number, referring to his age. He emphasized that he was still number one, as he had been ever since he stepped foot into WWE.
CM Punk said that though he had taken a 10-year vacation, he was now back, and he was better than ever. No one could even touch him because he was the Best in the World. He also made a reference to his old heel character, saying that he was Straight Edge and that he was better than him.

Royal Rumble, Elimination Chamber, WrestleMania—he was going to be there for it all. Finally, he dedicated his victory to Chris Bey, Chad Gilbert, and himself.
CM Punk comments on WWE’s new reduced schedule
CM Punk, who first joined WWE in 2006, has witnessed the company undergo tremendous changes over the past two decades. Having experienced these transformations firsthand, he recently shared his thoughts on the promotion’s new reduced schedule for its superstars.

Speaking on The Night Cap podcast, Punk said that the new schedule is much less than what it used to be. He believed that this was better for the athletes overall. However, one does end up missing out on wrestling for fans at live events.
Being on the road, hanging out with the boys, getting to interact with fans. You just to have, I don’t wanna say more fun, because TV can be fun, but TV is more of a high-pressure situation.

Punk said that being on the road and hanging out with the rest of the talent, alongside interacting with the fans, was an incredible experience. However, performing mainly for TV is not the same, considering that those are more high-pressure situations. The 46-year-old mentioned WWE’s most recent Holiday Tour as an example. He was a huge part of the tour and even challenged Gunther for the World Heavyweight Championship inside a steel cage in Chicago.
