Bad Blood 2024 kicked off with the Hell in a Cell bout between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. In what was expected to be a bloodbath, the match delivered on fan expectations. After a grueling encounter, Punk defeated his archnemesis and finally put an end to this feud.
From the get-go, the two men laid each other with punches and chops. The fight quickly spoiled over to the outside as The Second City Saint used the steel structure to his advantage. Furthermore, he brought out a table and a chair. Punk then drove a wrench into McIntyre’s head. The latter quickly shifted momentum by delivering a Claymore outside.
The Scottish Warrior threw Punk onto the cell, which busted him open. Moreover, McIntyre responded by driving the wrench into the open wound. It wouldn’t take long for Drew to start bleeding as The Best in the World hit him with a toolbox three times. Shortly after, Punk delivered the GTS only for his opponent to roll out of the ring.
McIntyre countered with another Claymore for a close two-count. Later, the pair went crashing through a table outside of the ring after Drew delivered a suplex from the top rope. The Ayr-born wrestler followed it up with a White Noise onto the steel steps. Moments later, he would regret it as Punk busted him open again.
A low blow by the Scottish star brought him on top. Drew McIntyre introduced the bracelet beads and threw them over his rival. However, it ended up being his undoing as CM Punk came back to hit a third and final GTS. As such, the Voice of the Voiceless emerged victorious inside Hell in a Cell at Bad Blood.
