CM Punk‘s actions at Money in the Bank blinded Drew McIntyre with rage. He went on to the PLE’s post-show discussion and cursed out his arch-rival on camera, even threatening his family. Several referees and backstage officials came out to stop him. However, the Scottish Warrior pushed them aside, and he put his hands on Raw GM Adam Pearce. These actions resulted in his indefinite suspension. However, he was not the only one who was punished for his actions that night.

CM Punk came out to cut a promo on the latest episode of Raw. He expressed his desire to get his hands on the former WWE Champion. However, he could not do so, as the 39-year-old was suspended. The Second City Saint admitted that there were consequences to his actions, too. He revealed that he paid a hefty sum of $25,000 for his actions at Money in the Bank. He also claimed that it was money well spent and that he would do it again if he could.

Drew McIntyre won the Men’s Money in the Bank briefcase at the show. He later appeared in the World Heavyweight Championship match between Damian Priest and Seth Rollins to cash in while the match was still going on. This turned the match into a triple threat, reminiscent of WrestleMania 31. However, Punk lived up to his promise of never letting The Chosen One become World Heavyweight Champion again.

The Straight Edge Superstar interfered in the match, brutalized his rival with steel chairs, and choked him out with a cable. To finally seal the deal, he hit his opponent with the World Heavyweight Championship belt, ruining his cash-in and allowing Priest to pick up the victory and retain his title. This situation eventually led to McIntyre’s outburst at the post-show and him getting indefinitely suspended.

CM Punk pays tribute to John Cena and expresses interest in having one final match with him

During his promo on Raw, Punk claimed that he wanted to talk about something before addressing the elephant in the room. He wanted to recognize someone with whom he had spent a lot of time in the ring. He thanked and congratulated John Cena on announcing his retirement from WWE. As a cheeky reference, he even apologized to him for calling him the New York Yankees.

This statement made the crowd go wild for the 16-time World Champion, and they started chanting his name. Punk said that he did not know what the future holds. However, he would love to lace his boots against John Cena at least one more time before the Cenation Leader stopped wrestling for good. The Voice of the Voiceless thanked him for everything he had done in WWE and moved on to address his arch-nemesis.
