CM Punk has clapped back at a recent dig that was aimed at him by Kevin Nash. A couple of weeks ago on Raw, the ‘Best in the World’ teamed up with Rey Mysterio to take on “Big” Bronson Reed and Austin Theory. Punk notably wrestled in a tank top from the get-go, and he didn’t bother taking it off.
That didn’t sit well with Nash, who critiqued it on his Kliq This podcast. ‘Big Daddy Cool’ thought it wasn’t a good look for a world champion in WWE to work an entire match while having his T-shirt on. Many fans thought that Nash’s comments would go unnoticed, but they didn’t.
In fact, during a recent WWE live event in Fort Myers, CM Punk retorted with an epic troll job targeting the former nWo member. Punk defended his world title against Bronson Reed in the main event, but that wasn’t the most intriguing part about it.

During tonight's #WWEFortMyers he took off his shirt revealing to have another one underneath lmao 😂😂😭😭 pic.twitter.com/ia3FsIYIEV
‘The Second City Saint’, once again, was in his signature tank top. However, he kept flirting with the idea of taking it off. Reed did it first after getting frustrated with Punk’s antics. The latter eventually removed his tee just to reveal another one he was wearing inside. The Chicagoan had a blast playing with the fans while subtly dismissing Nash’s judgment of his attire on Monday Night Raw.

CM Punk and Kevin Nash never got to have a singles match in WWE, even though they were slated to at one point in 2011. That clip from their promo segment where Punk read out his sister’s text about her thinking that Nash was dead after he returned to WWE still pops up on social media. The former AEW star said his sister was wrong about it. Punk, though, quipped that it was just Nash’s career that was dead.
Kevin Nash corroborates the anecdotes of Vince McMahon mocking Jim Ross over his Bell’s palsy issues
In another excerpt from his latest episode on Kliq This podcast, Kevin Nash was made aware of Matt Hardy‘s recent comments about Vince McMahon bullying Jim Ross. The former WCW World Champion’s co-host read a transcript from Hardy’s podcast where he had specifically namedropped ‘JR’ as one of the people McMahon gave a hard time to, a mechanism that often turned abusive.

The 65-year-old listened to his co-host and stated in response that the former WWE Chairman isn’t going to receive any humanitarian award anytime soon. Nash also stated that the lawsuit-facing business magnate had previously given a “horrible time” to the legendary commentator during his struggle with Bell’s palsy. In 2012, McMahon did a parody of Ross in a backstage segment with Hornswoggle.

The notorious ex-WWE chairman put on a cowboy hat like Ross used to wear in his heyday at the commentary desk. McMahon twisted his face to match Ross’ facial discomfort, which was a consequence of Bell’s palsy. McMahon then proceeded to do the ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin call of ‘Good Ol’ JR’.
Vince is not going to get a Humanitarian of the Year Award anytime soon. He gave JR a horrible time when JR had that Bell’s palsy.

It received widespread criticism from the wrestling fans, as the McMahon-involved segment heavily mocked Ross’ temporary facial paralysis condition. Ross recently commented about McMahon’s jealousy toward him on his Grilling JR podcast. The 73-year-old affirmed that ‘Vinnie Mac’ treated him unjustly because of jealousy.
Jim Ross says he feels Vince McMahon’s animosity towards him came from jealousy:

“I never have understood Vince’s intense animosity. I think he was jealous. He was never the play-by-play guy that I was. He didn't want to give me any credit for helping build the Attitude Era to… pic.twitter.com/79ou0QO4jl
Ross said McMahon never intended to give him his due credit for lending his iconic voice to the Attitude Era. ‘JR’ added that he didn’t want to claim that he was single-handedly responsible for popularizing the golden period of wrestling and stated it was rather a team effort.
Ross never understood why McMahon harbored animosity toward him, even when the current AEW figure never missed any dates, nor did he screw anything up for McMahon.
