The latest episode of Raw featured the Straight Edge Superstar talking about his actions at the Money in the Bank PLE. He addressed his arch nemesis, Drew McIntyre, and even had a run-in with Seth Rollins. However, in classic CM Punk fashion, he made sure to take a subtle dig at AEW during his promo.

While cutting his promo, Punk promised the world that he was willing to confront Drew McIntyre no matter where he was, even if it had to be in a packed WWE arena. He then pointed towards the hard camera and remarked how people were sitting on that side of the camera. He continued saying that he would beat up the Scottish wrestler over there as well.

This is, of course, a reference to the dwindling audience numbers of the Jacksonville-based promotion. Many wrestling fans attending AEW shows have shared photos of their venues, which show that most seats behind the hard camera are empty. This is so because the company tries to seat its audience in front of the camera to avoid the appearance of an empty arena on TV.

During this promo, The Best in the World also addressed the elephant in the room. He brought up his actions at the Money in the Bank PLE. Further, he promised that as long as there was air in his lungs, McIntyre would never become World Heavyweight Champion.

CM Punk confronted by old rival Seth Rollins on Monday Night Raw

Punk and Rollins have shared much history since the former Shield member’s main roster debut in 2012. Things further soured for their relationship when the Architect promised to get revenge on the Voice of the Voiceless after Money in the Bank. He further solidified his intentions when he came out to interrupt the 45-year-old during his promo on the latest episode of Raw.

The former World Heavyweight Champion repeated the warning he gave to Punk when he returned to the company. That is, to not stick his nose in his business. Now, he can no longer compete in the World Heavyweight Championship because of the former AEW star. The Chicago native clarified that it wasn’t his intention to go after the 2019 Royal Rumble winner and even apologized. However, since it was Seth Rollins who got caught in the crossfire, he couldn’t be too sorry.

Rollins shot back by saying that he wouldn’t take a cheap shot at him, considering that he was injured. However, when the 2x Money in the Bank winner was cleared, he wouldn’t even be able to say his rival’s name before the 38-year-old snapped his arm and put him back on the shelf. He also talked about actions having consequences, referencing what CM Punk had said to McIntyre earlier during the promo.
