As expected, CM Punk kicked off the latest episode of SmackDown. The Second City Saint returned to his hometown and addressed the WWE Universe in the Allstate Arena. Within minutes, however, he was interrupted by his former best friend, Paul Heyman. The Wiseman, in a frantic state, greeted Punk and later, embraced him. As such, Solo Sikoa and The Bloodline came out to confront the pair.

The Tribal Heir asked Chicago’s own to either acknowledge him or get out of the arena. In response, the former WWE Champion took a jab at the trio, referring to Sikoa as a ‘cosplaying Tribal Chief’. As such, the faction entered the ring and prepared to lay the beatdown on Punk. This brought out Cody Rhodes, who came to his friend’s aid and evened the odds. Further, the segment set up the main event match between Rhodes and Sikoa.

Interestingly, Paul E continued to cry for help amid The Enforcer taking over The Bloodline. For the past couple of months, the Hall of Famer has been kept out of the loop in regards to the faction’s decisions. In fact, Solo Sikoa has introduced Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa into the group, presumably without conferring with either Paul Heyman or Roman Reigns.

Despite his claims of communicating with his Tribal Chief, it has become hard to believe that the former NXT North American Champion isn’t plotting against him. In fact, Reigns took his first major step when he unfollowed Sikoa on social media. Needless to say, only time will tell how the former Undisputed Champion responds to the takeover when he returns. As for Punk, his night didn’t end there, as he met a familiar face.

Drew McIntyre brutalized a ‘bloody’ CM Punk on SmackDown

When Drew McIntyre ‘quit’ on this week’s Raw, many believed that he wouldn’t show up on television for some time. However, it only took four days for the Scot to return. On the latest episode of SmackDown, McIntyre exacted revenge on CM Punk after what transpired at Clash at the Castle.

The Scottish Warrior emerged backstage and stood in front of a bludgeoned Punk. McIntyre then carried The Second City to the stage while the Allstate Arena heavily boo’ed him. Without uttering a single word, the Scot delivered a bold message to his rival.

Moreover, he snatched Punk’s ‘AJ Lee/Larry’ bracelet from his arm and kept it in his pocket. This brought out SmackDown GM Nick Aldis and a bunch of officials, who escorted McIntyre out of the building. Later, the Best in the World was stretchered out of the arena.
