In an alarming act, an unruly Philadelphia Eagles fan harassed and stole from a Washington Commanders fan following their victory in the NFC Championship last Sunday. The Eagles had defeated their division rivals Commanders in a blowout fashion and advanced to their second Super Bowl in three years.
In the city of brotherly love, the young Philadelphians’ acts have turned many heads, calling out the fandom for their unprincipled behavior. In not a single incident, recent videos have shown Eagles fans taunting and harassing Commanders fans at multiple exit points and even following their immature acts on the streets.
Unsurprisingly, this hasn’t been the first time Eagles fans have been put in the media spotlight with their unruly actions. The Philadelphia Eagles fandom also made news when one of them called a Green Bay Packers fan, “a crazy c**t” during the wildcard match. The person has subsequently been fired from their job and banned from the stadium.
In November 2024, in a similar incident, a fan bullied ex-player Jason Kelce into getting out of his SUV and made him sign an autograph for themselves and the rest of the fans who gathered there by then.
As division rivals, the Eagles and Washington had been enemies for a long time. In 2023, a meeting between the Eagles and Washington resulted in multiple brawls, leaving many with bruises and bloody injuries.
Tracing into history, in 1983, following a 10-point win over the Washington Redskins at the veteran stadium, the Eagles fan attacked Chief Zee, a well-known fan and unofficial mascot of the Redskins at the time. Chief Zee had broken limbs and ribs as well as his original costume was torn leaving him hospitalized.
Chief Zee, who didn’t take the incident to heart and generalize the Philadelphia returned once again next year. However, his faith in them was misconstrued as one woman threw beer on his face.
Social Media angry at the Philadelphia Eagles fans for their hyena-like behaviors
The actions have angered a huge chunk of people including Dave Portnoy, who called them out for another incident that happened on the same day. Portnoy, founder of Barstool, ripped into the Birds and called them a s*****g for their ill manners.
I know Philly fans are scumbsgs but this is beyond being a scumbag. Total asshole move to actually grab the dudes hat as he’s walking out. pic.twitter.com/lLSO4YloCW

NFL fans have turned on the Philadelphians following the multiple incidents, with one user calling the fandom, “the most illiterate.”

All said and done, it seems like the Kansas City Chiefs are gaining a couple more fans leaning towards a potential three-peat than the Eagles winning the title.
