Coco Gauff celebrated her 2024 Paris Olympics qualification, with the American No. 1 set to represent Team USA in the French capital later this year. The selection was extra special for her, as she had tested positive for COVID-19 a day before she was supposed to leave for the Summer Games in Tokyo in 2021.
Gauff’s qualification for this year’s quadrennial event was secured after she accumulated sufficient points between June 11, 2023, and June 10, 2024. To celebrate the same, she shared a video with her fans where she can be seen dancing and beaming with pride.

Gauff is set to be joined by compatriots Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, Danielle Collins, and Desirae Krawczyk in the women’s contingent for the Games. On the men’s side, the likes of Taylor Fritz, Tommy Paul, Christopher Eubanks, Rajeev Ram, Marcos Giron, and Austin Krajicek have all secured their spots at the tournament.

Coco Gauff shares her super competitive summer plans with boyfriend ahead of Wimbledon
Coco Gauff is currently gearing up to take part in the Wimbledon Championships, with the tournament set to get underway on July 1. Ahead of the Slam, the American revealed her plans for the summer with her boyfriend, whose identity has not been made public to date.

Speaking to the press in Berlin, Gauff stated that her boyfriend pushes her to be competitive, not only in sports but also in general. She recalled her childhood habit of reading, which she lost while growing up, and hoped to bring it back in a competitive way.
So when he said he was going to read 24, I got super competitive, and I doubled my goal to match his and I like trying to finish faster than him. I’m two books ahead, so I’m winning right now.
Coco Gauff told German media
The 20-year-old had initially set a goal of reading 12 books this year, one each month. However, she was forced to increase the number after her boyfriend decided to read twice as many books in the same period.
