Cody Rhodes defended his WWE Undisputed Championship against Kevin Owens at the Bash in Berlin PLE. There was a lot of tension between the two superstars heading into the match. Hence, fans were intrigued to see how the relationship between these two would develop after the match, regardless of the result. 

The American Nightmare successfully retained his WWE Undisputed Championship against Owens and posted a video on his X account shortly after the match ended. The clip featured the champion and challenger walking up the ramp with their arms around each other. Rhodes also made a reference to the WWE slogan in the caption, declaring that they would always be friends.

During the match, Owens was about to hit Rhodes with one of the most brutal moves in his arsenal—a powerbomb on the ring apron. However, the Canadian did not want to hurt his friend and refrained from executing the move. This hesitation likely cost him the match and the WWE Undisputed Championship with it.

There appeared to be a lot of tension between the two superstars during the build-up to their match. Owens had teased turning on his friend several times over the past few weeks. After their match in Berlin ended, the Prizefighter seemed highly frustrated with himself. However, he raised the champion’s arm in an incredible display of sportsmanship.
