When Cody Rhodes made his way to WWE in 2022, many expected Dustin Rhodes to follow suit and eventually join his brother in the Stamford-based promotion. However, this never happened. After sticking with AEW for a few more years, the wrestling veteran has decided to turn a new page in his career.

Dustin Rhodes recently announced the launch of his own wrestling promotion called Rhodes Wrestling Association. The first event for the company has already been announced, titled Texas Fall Fury. The show will take place on November 21st, 2024, in Bullpen Leander, Texas. The show will also feature a meet and greet with The Bizarre One. Dustin said that fans will have to stay tuned for more information about the promotion.

Rhodes has been running his own wrestling school, Rhodes Wrestling Academy, for a few years in Leander. The academy is now looking to expand into doing its own shows, similar to Booker T‘s Reality of Wrestling Academy, which has trained prominent stars such as Zilla Fatu.

Rhodes currently holds both the ROH World Tag Team Championship and the ROH Six-Man Tag Team Championships. It is unclear how long he would continue being a professional wrestler for AEW. However, it is safe to say that he will not join WWE any time soon.

Many wishful thinkers wanted The Natural to join his brother, Cody Rhodes, in his fight against The Bloodline. He was even brought up several times during the buildup to WrestleMania XL. Furthermore, he was aggravated after The Rock brutalized his brother. However, his WWE appearance never came to fruition due to his contract with AEW.

It is no secret that Cody Rhodes is a huge family fan. He recently took some time out to visit an amusement park with his wife, daughter, and a few friends, posting some photos on Instagram. Among these photos, fans spotted the WWE Undisputed Champion with AEW stars Ricky Starks and Aaron Solo.

Both Ricky Starks and Solo allegedly have a close relationship with Rhodes, which was formed during their time in AEW. These photos also added fuel to the rumors that the former AEW Tag Team Champion would soon make his way to WWE.

Starks has been absent from AEW programming since March of this year. He has confirmed on social media that he is not injured. Reportedly, the company does not have any creative plans for him at the moment and is simply kept off AEW TV. According to many fans, his jumping ship to WWE is almost inevitable.
