Amid WWE's UK tour, Cody Rhodes visited the Etihad Stadium and spoke about the possibility of a fight with Erling Haaland.

It goes without saying that Erling Haaland has a menacing presence on the soccer field. The Norwegian instills fears in the hearts of his opponents. And the same can be said about athletes from other sports. Recently, WWE Superstar Cody Rhodes paid a visit to Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium. When asked which player he would want to avoid facing inside the squared circle, Rhodes took no time in naming Haaland.
The American Nightmare stated that the striker looked like someone who would attack him outside of his bus. Rhodes alluded to his ongoing troubles with former friend Kevin Owens. The latter ambushed Rhodes days ago in the parking lot following WWE’s Bad Blood PLE. Furthermore, he cited that he is intimidated by Erling Haaland‘s long limbs.
Speaking of his issues with Owens, Rhodes hasn’t yet verbally responded to the situation. On last week’s episode of SmackDown, KO interrupted the live telecast and tried to justify his actions. However, WWE cut his microphone off. Moments later, Rhodes arrived to confront the former Universal Champion before security separated both sides.

Randy Orton got involved in the mess as well as he tried to defuse the situation between his two friends. Despite his best efforts, Orton ended up making matters worse. The Viper punched Owens in the face after the latter elbowed him. This led to The Prizefighter ambushing Orton backstage for supposedly “picking the wrong side” in this fight. Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how Rhodes responds on this Friday’s SmackDown.
Cody Rhodes sets his sights on Crown Jewel gold on November 2
As mentioned, Cody Rhodes has a lot on his plate right now. In addition to the Kevin Owens drama, Rhodes has a marquee bout ahead of him in two weeks. The former AEW wrestler will face World Heavyweight Champion Gunther in a champion vs. champion match.
Instead of both titles being put on the line, the top stars will battle it out for the new Crown Jewel Championship. On this week’s Raw, Rhodes paid a visit to the red brand to speak face-to-face with The Ring General.
Although there was a sign of mutual respect, Gunther did take a few shots at his counterpart. The Austrian wrestler labeled Rhodes a “secondary champion” and threw shade at his recent events. In response, The American Nightmare boasted his achievements over the past few years, including dethroning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania.
