Cody Rhodes was honored with an Edmonton Oilers jersey just hours before this week’s SmackDown. The American Nightmare was in the town of Edmonton for the show. He had an encounter with Solo Sikoa. The day kicked off for him with a huge round of applause by the Oilers.
The jersey has the last name of Cody Rhodes along with number 51. The Undisputed Champion shared this huge news on his X. He posted a picture with a person holding another iconic t-shirt. It is also a collaboration between the American Nightmare and Edmonton Oilers. The other shirt features the iconic ‘American Nightmare’ logo and ‘Finish The Story’ slogan.
The Undisputed Champion was bestowed with this honor just hours before his faceoff with Solo Sikoa. On SmackDown, he challenged the Tribal Heir to a match next week. Later, it was announced by Nick Aldis that the match would be scheduled inside a steel cage to bar any sort of interference in the match.
Moreover, it is going to be a rough start for Cody Rhodes on his journey now on USA Network. It is going to be interesting to see his path from now on. The biggest question arises if next week would mark the end of Rhodes’ business with the Bloodline.
Cody Rhodes wants to have 60-minute Iron Man match with Seth Rollins
Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins had an iconic rivalry in 2022. They both tried to tear each other down in some of the greatest matches of the modern era. After being at loggerheads for years, they both joined sides to take down the Bloodline and Roman Reigns at WrestleMania. Recently, the American Nightmare praised the Visionary while expressing a desire to face him in a 60-minute Iron Man match.

Speaking with Inside The Ropes, the 39-year-old said that if he could have a sparring session with anyone from the roster, it would have been the Architect. He added that they had three spectacular matches, and if he would get the fourth one, he would never mind.
I’d love to do…he is such a great in-ring wrestler, in addition to all the other things he is — if I had to go 60 minutes with anybody, I’d certainly like to test myself with somebody like him in an Iron Man setting. But, again, I don’t know if anybody wants to see another one. We really did good with the three we had.Cody Rhodes said via Inside The Ropes
Moreover, Rhodes called Rollins the MVP of WrestleMania XL. He heavily praised him for his consistent performance. The American Nightmare also called the former World Heavyweight Champion a flag bearer for WWE who has carried the company on his back in the tough times. As of now, both the stars are on different brands. Only time will tell if they will ever collide down the line.
