The duo of Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga continued to wreak havoc on the SmackDown go-home episode of the Royal Rumble. Fatu and Tonga took on Damian Priest and LA Knight in the main event. However, the former Bloodline members fell short, as Priest picked up the win for his team. Fatu cut the celebrations short, attacking both stars as the show went off the air. Moments later, backup arrived in the form of Cody Rhodes.

Rhodes saved Priest from an attempted moonsault by Fatu, laying out the latter and Tonga. After delivering a Cody Cutter on Fatu, Tonga was left in the ring alone against Rhodes, Priest, and Knight. The three babyfaces executed their signature moves as the crowd went into a frenzy. Furthermore, The American Nightmare checked on Priest, who had been at the end of a brutal beatdown on SmackDown.

The Puerto Rican star got into a heated confrontation with Jacob Fatu earlier in the show. After the two exchanged verbal jabs at one another, a 2-on-1 beatdown ensued on Priest. This prompted Knight, who has been feuding with The Bloodline for months, to come out to even the odds. As such, The Megastar laid down a tag team challenge to Fatu and Tonga.

As for Rhodes, he has battled it out with different iterations of the faction. The Undisputed WWE Champion’s rivalry with The Bloodline goes back to 2023. Despite finishing his story, the stable has still found ways to make Rhodes’ life on SmackDown miserable. Keeping that in mind, it is safe to say that the tensions between both sides are far from over.

Cody Rhodes set to conclude months long feud against Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble

Speaking of The Bloodline, another man who has had his fair share of battles against the group is Kevin Owens. Therefore, when Owens’ friend, Cody Rhodes, teamed with the former leader, Roman Reigns, The Prizefighter turned on him. Since then, Rhodes and Owens have engaged in several verbal back-and-forths and brawls.

Their only encounter so far came at last year’s Saturday Night’s Main Event. After Rhodes retained his title under questionable circumstances, KO felt he was robbed. As a result, he brutalized The American Nightmare and took the special Winged Eagle title, claiming ownership over it.

Growing frustrated by Owens’ antics, Rhodes demanded a ladder match against his former friend at the Royal Rumble. The Undisputed and Winged Eagle championships will hang above the ring, with only one winner emerging out of the match with both. Needless to say, fans cannot wait to see how things transpire at the Royal Rumble.
