The November 21 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, broadcast live from Colorado, pushed the excitement for Survivor Series to a new level. The show opened with The Vision setting the tone, but things quickly descended into chaos when Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes became involved.

Paul Heyman laid out his chilling vision for WarGames, promising that every viewer would soon understand what he meant. He warned that the five top WWE heroes would be trapped inside a double cage, where Bron Breakker would take a bite out of every one of them, while Bronson Reed would crush them with multiple Tsunami splashes.

Heyman continued by declaring that WarGames was not just about strategy, but about employing the kind of malicious tactics that could make even the devil take notice. With that, he introduced Logan Paul. Before Paul could speak, The Usos made their way to the ring.

Jey Uso reminded Heyman that nobody wanted to listen to Logan and accused Heyman of talking as if they hadn’t destroyed his team on Monday Night Raw earlier in the week. Heyman fired back, claiming credit for creating The Bloodline to ensure Roman Reigns’ family would thrive, and emphasized that the numbers game always wins.

He counted his four men against the two Usos and promised they were moments away from a beating. Crowd chants of CM Punk broke out before Jimmy Uso taunted Heyman, saying they learned from the best and that Heyman couldn’t possibly believe they came to the arena alone.

Rhodes’ music hit, except he didn’t appear. Instead, cameras cut backstage to the loading area, where McIntyre emerged from the WWE title holder’s tour bus. Rhodes was discovered suspended in a Tree of Woe position, blood streaming from a forehead wound caused by the steering wheel.

The Usos rushed to the scene as crew members called for medical assistance. Jimmy and Jey helped pull Rhodes out of the bus as SmackDown went to commercial, leaving the arena stunned and questioning what would happen next. Medical staff rushed to evaluate Rhodes’ condition while McIntyre sat in his car, mocking them before driving away with a satisfied laugh.

It is safe to say that Cody Rhodes was far from finished. Despite the earlier attack, the WWE champion returned to make his presence felt during The Last Time Is Now tournament match between Bronson Reed and Carmelo Hayes.

The match began with Hayes using speed and agility, darting around the ring and landing sharp strikes in the corner. However, Reed quickly halted his momentum with a crushing knife-edge chop. Reed hit the ropes and leveled Hayes again, following up with heavy ground-and-pound offense. Hayes answered with a counter DDT and nearly scored a pinfall. He attempted a springboard DDT, but Reed powered out.

A dropkick then sent Reed off the apron, and as Hayes talked trash, Bron Breakker and Logan Paul arrived at ringside just before the commercial break. After the break, Reed delivered a devastating back suplex for a two-count. Hayes avoided a senton and rolled Reed into a crucifix pin for another near-fall.

Hayes connected with an enzuigiri, a superkick to the knee, a running knee, and a springboard lariat. He followed with a slingshot DDT on the apron, then climbed to the top and hit a diving splash, but Reed still kicked out.

Hayes attempted another Codebreaker, but Reed blocked and responded with a World’s Strongest Slam, setting up a second Tsunami attempt. Hayes rolled clear just in time. This time, the Codebreaker landed, followed by a topé con giro and another diving DDT, yet Reed still refused to stay down.

Hayes went to the top again but missed, and Reed blasted him with a huge lariat, sending Hayes rolling to the floor. At ringside, Breakker pulled off his shirt and dropped his straps, preparing to intervene. Paul distracted the referee, opening the door for the Usos to ambush Breakker.

Suddenly, Rhodes arrived. He hit Reed with a Cross Rhodes and threw Hayes back in the ring before referee Ryan Tran turned around to resume the count. Reed struggled to his feet but couldn’t beat the ten-count, giving Hayes the victory by countout.

After the match, Rhodes took the microphone. He declared that Reed was the most talented member of The Vision, but wouldn’t realize it until he was staring up at the lights. He took verbal shots at each member of the opposing side.

He reminded Breakker that history has proven no Steiner is better than a Rhodes, dismissing Paul by saying nobody cared about his flips or drones, pointing out that Brock Lesnar was the last man to defeat him, and warning Paul Heyman that no matter who he builds, Rhodes will knock them down.

‘The American Nightmare’ closed by promising that WarGames is his birthright, and that he would see Heyman and his team in San Diego inside the barbaric structure.
