This week’s Raw was a pre-taped episode due to the ongoing WWE UK tour. However, the show somehow managed to catch the fans’ attention with a couple of intriguing references to Brock Lesnar. One of them came when Cody Rhodes confronted Gunther, where he clearly mentioned The Beast Incarnate, leaving a lot of fans at the edge of their seats.
During the intense segment involving The American Nightmare and The Ring General, the former gloated that he had already slayed a ‘Beast’. It was an eye-raising moment, as even Gunther looked surprised with the reference. It was a direct throwback to Rhodes’ rugged feud with Lesnar last year.
In addition to that, there was another reference to Brock Lesnar on the show last night. It came during a backstage segment between Adam Pearce and Seth Rollins, where the latter also recalled slaying a ‘Beast’. With such a bold series of callbacks to The Beast Incarnate, these references generated a lot of questions.
"I beat the most dominating champion in company history… and I have already slain a frightening BEAST."

The former UFC star has been absent from WWE programming since SummerSlam 2023. He planned to be back to the company by early 2024. However, his return got pushed indefinitely when he was referenced in the Janel Grant–Vince McMahon lawsuit. Lesnar has yet to respond to the allegations since January.
WWE Universe in splits over the shocking references to Brock Lesnar on Raw
There was a time when WWE was allegedly trying to erase Brock Lesnar from their history. Hence, these references on Raw make it quite intriguing for the fans, who are constantly speculating on the status of The Beast. Some fans expressed their reactions on X by claiming that the former UFC champion’s return to WWE was now imminent, while some fans were completely against the idea.
There were some users who even claimed that they were praying to see the 47-year-old back in WWE. Whereas some users were disgusted to see him even get mentioned on WWE TV following his involvement with the Janel Grant lawsuit.
Nonetheless, there has been no profound update on the status of Lesnar in WWE. Therefore, only time will tell whether fans will ever get to see the former Universal Champion on their screens again.
