Cody Rhodes defeated his dear friend Kevin Owens in an intense match for the Undisputed WWE title at Bash in Berlin. Many fans believed The Prizefighter might turn heel and ruthlessly capitalize on The American Nightmare’s injured knee. However, his emotions got the better of him, and he kept the match fair, which ultimately led to his loss at the hands of the champ.

The 39-year-old star’s sister, Teil Rhodes, took to X to share her thoughts after the match. She was thrilled that her brother won and was satisfied with how the match turned out. Teil described it as “stunning” and called it an instant classic. Despite their close friendship, both stars pushed each other to their limits to prove who was superior.

The clash between Cody Rhodes and Kevin Owens was full of ups and downs, with both competitors prioritizing victory over camaraderie. During a critical moment, the 40-year-old veteran found himself on the verge of capturing the world title once again but hesitated just briefly. This gave the champion the opening he needed, delivering a decisive Cross Rhodes to secure his title retention.

With Owens out of the way, The American Nightmare will now shift his focus to his long-time rival, Solo Sikoa, who has been on a path of destruction with The Bloodline since WrestleMania XL. Sikoa asserted that it didn’t matter who won; the title belonged to him and him alone. With Roman Reigns back in the mix as well, it will be intriguing to see who walks out as the Undisputed WWE Champion at Bad Blood.

Rhodes stated that there was nothing he would like more than to share the ring one more time with The Viper. He admitted that it would be a very different match when he stepped into the ring for the first time against him on Raw. The 39-year-old star further added that if it happens, there would be a lot of drama for fans to enjoy.

Like I just said, sometimes the people you want to know how you've grown the most is the ones closest to you. Nobody is closer to me than Randy Orton. So, that's a lot of drama, as The Bloodline fans like to say, the cinema. It's a lot of cinema. But right now no plans for it.

While Rhodes retained his title to start the show, Orton couldn’t end it the way he had hoped. Gunther remained the ever-dominant World Heavyweight Champion after putting The Legend Killer to sleep. Orton will return to SmackDown following this loss, and it will be interesting to see what lies ahead for him.
