WrestleMania season also means a new class of Hall of Fame inductees. This is truly a great achievement for any wrestler, as it recognizes their life-long efforts for the professional wrestling industry. Lex Luger was recently announced to be receiving this honor, and there was no one better to present it to him than Cody Rhodes.
WWE recently posted a video on their social media, which featured Luger working out with Diamond Dallas Page. The two wrestling legends got a surprise visit from Cody Rhodes, who said that WWE wanted the Total Package to be inducted into the 2025 Hall of Fame class. The 66-year-old was taken aback after hearing this news.
DDP told Luger that this news warranted him getting up and giving Rhodes a hug. The three superstars then embraced each other in a wholesome moment. Fans were also incredibly happy for the wrestling legend. He has been through a lot in his personal life, ranging from legal troubles, relationship problems, and severe health complications. It is nice to see him finally be rewarded for his contributions to the professional wrestling industry.

Luger now joins a star-studded Hall of Fame class heading into WrestleMania 41. The first member to be announced for this class was Triple H, who was given a huge surprise by Nick Khan, Stephanie McMahon, Shawn Michaels, and several WWE officials. Michelle McCool is another legend who has also been added to this panel in the past few weeks.
Cody Rhodes reportedly rejected turning heel to join forces with The Rock
WrestleMania season is often filled with many shocking events, such as heel turns that no one saw coming. Of course, a recent example of this is John Cena selling out and turning heel to join forces with The Rock at Elimination Chamber. However, things were originally supposed to go down much differently.

On the latest edition of Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer revealed that The Rock wanted Rhodes to turn heel and join him, similar to his kayfabe pitch to the American Nightmare on SmackDown. The WWE Undisputed Champion rejected this idea, and Cena was picked as the second choice.
This did not cause any change in the matchup itself. John Cena vs. Cody Rhodes has been planned for WrestleMania going as far back as December. However, fans will just get this fight with the face-heel dynamics reversed.
