Cody Rhodes is an emphatic babyface not just inside the squared circle but in real life as well. The 39-year-old often goes above and beyond for his fans. He is even referred to as the John Cena of the current generation for his dedication to fans. A similar heartwarming gesture by the WWE Undisputed Champion recently went viral on the internet.
A member of the WWE Universe recently posted about their grievance on their X account. They had won tickets to the Money in the Bank PLE in a contest. However, the person in question required accessibility seats, which the Scotiabank Arena was unable to provide. They had mentioned wanting to meet some of their favorite superstars, such as Rhodes, Drew McIntyre, Jey Uso, Seth Rollins, and more. Unfortunately, they had to miss out on the show.
The fan posted saying that The American Nightmare called him after his previous post. He arranged for special accessibility tickets at the venue, leaving the fan speechless. They expressed gratitude for the SmackDown Superstar and thanked him for going out of his way to arrange special seats.
The former AEW EVP re-posted this tweet, and told the fan to enjoy the show. He gave a shoutout to the folks at WWE and those at the arena, saying that they were happy to jump in and help. Gestures such as these are why Rhodes is loved by the WWE Universe, and is showered with gifts everywhere he goes.
Cody Rhodes reveals major reason why he stays in touch with John Cena
Rhodes is often referred to as the spiritual successor to John Cena. This is no easy burden to carry, and he sometimes requires the guidance of the Cenation Leader himself. Speaking on the Pivot Podcast, the WWE Undisputed Champion revealed that he often relies on the Hollywood actor’s advice and even sends his merchandise numbers to him.
Cody Rhodes believed that one needs somebody to look at the numbers and break them down for them. This allows one to find room to grow and figure out what to do in the future. He doesn’t send his merch sheet to Cena for the 47-year-old to simply check it out. Rather, he sends it to him because he knows the former WWE Champion will always tell him the truth.
Likewise, Cena never showers him with empty praise, simply telling him that he is doing a good job. Rather, the wrestling veteran suggests he check out the shows he is not on and how he is doing at those places. Rhodes highly appreciates his help and has a lot of respect for him.
