Cole Palmer sets Premier League RECORD as Chelsea beat Tottenham Hotspur 4-3
Chelsea star Cole Palmer has etched his name in the history books by setting the record for the most successful penalties (12) in the EPL.

Chelsea forward Cole Palmer had a superb outing against Tottenham in the English Premier League. He scored two goals from the penalty spot to help his side claim a 4-3 win. The 22-year-old with his two spot-kicks, reached a new high by achieving a historic Premier League feat.
Chelsea overcame a 2-0 lead vs. Tottenham, to claim a 4-3 victory to keep their second position on the EPL table intact. Cole Palmer converted two penalties in the second half, setting a new EPL record. His first spot-kick came in the 61st minute, following Yves Bissouma’s foul on Moises Caicedo.
The second penalty came in the 84th minute after the Englishman was himself brought down inside the box by midfielder Pape Sarr. Palmer stepped up to secure a win for the Blues with a surprising Panenka kick. Palmer has now claimed the crown of the EPL’s best penalty-taker of all time. He boasts the record of converting the highest number of consecutive penalties in the history of the competition.
The Chelsea star player enjoys a 100 percent conversion rate, scoring all 12 penalties that he has taken. He overtook former Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure, who stands second with 11 consecutive spot-kick goals. Moreover, Palmer also performed Cristiano Ronaldo‘s iconic ‘Calma’ celebration after scoring a brace.

Meanwhile, Palmer’s two goals against Tottenham took his season tally to 11 goals and six assists in 17 matches. Last season’s PFA Player of the Year, the 22-year-old now remains only behind Erling Haaland and Mohamed Salah (13 goals each) on the EPL top-scorers list.

Tottenham Hotspur are under FA investigation after the club’s supporters threw objects at Chelsea star Cole Palmer during their heated EPL match. Spurs subsequently suffered a 4-3 loss to the Blues, who maintained their eight-match unbeaten streak in all competitions.
Several incidents led to frequent hindrances during the match against Tottenham. Palmer, who scored two goals to inspire Chelsea’s win, was a target of Spurs supporters. The fans launched paper missiles at him. Fans in the stadium’s South Stand were given pieces of paper to create a giant tifo. However, they mischievously threw it towards Chelsea players, including Palmer, while they came to take corners.

The FA will now look into investigations related to the incident. They will also review the match footage as well as referee Anthony Taylor’s post-match report. It remains to be seen what punishment would be levied on the North London club.
