Ace Real Madrid midfielder, Eduardo Camavinga is all set to miss the UEFA Super Cup, which is slated to be played on Wednesday, due to a nasty injury that he sustained on Tuesday in practice. During the training session, Camavinga went down contorting in agony after a freak injury where he was stomped on his knee and he was visibly in pain.

The French international copped the blow while training at the National Stadium in Warsaw where Real Madrid, the UEFA Champions League winners will be taking on the Europa League winners, Atalanta. A video footage that has gone viral saw Camavinga screaming in pain before slumping on the pitch as soon as the tackle was made.

In the video, Eduardo Camavinga was trying to dodge past his teammate, Aurelien Tchouameni. While he went right, the latter put in a tackle in a bid to clinch the ball from the France international but the latter was too quick and Tchouameni stepped right onto his boot which had an instant repercussion on his knees and what followed thereafter were scenes of horror.

As the scenes rolled, Camavinga received instant treatment on the pitch from the medical staff, before managing to stroll out of the park without any assistance, which was the most positive sign for the Real Madrid management and the fans. A cruciate ligament injury was ruled out on immediate examination in the dressing room. He will be undergoing further medical tests to determine the extent of his injury and how quickly he can come back to the side.
