FC Barcelona suffered a disappointing 1-0 defeat against Leganes at their home in their latest match in La Liga. The fans were frustrated about it, but a bigger point of concern was the injury that their young starlet Lamine Yamal suffered during the match. In the 15th minute of the match, Leganes’ Neyou inflicted a harsh tackle on the right ankle of Yamal, causing him to wriggle in pain after the impact.

However, after some treatment, he was back on his feet and played for sixty-five minutes in the match. He was seen limping on multiple occasions and avoiding taking on defenders through his dribbles.

After the impact, Yamal was not seen much in his usual out-and-out right winger role but was rather seen in a more or less central role.

Now Diario AS reports that Yamal will have more medical tests on Monday to determine the severity of his injury and the condition of his right ankle. He also suffered a grade one syndesmosis injury to the same ankle during the game against Red Star on November 6. Yamal missed the matches against Real Sociedad, Celta de Vigo, and Brest, being out for three weeks.

Therefore, the injury to the same ankle has caused the fans and the club to be concerned. Barca will face off against Atletico Madrid next week at home in a top-of-the-table clash. It is a very important fixture for them, and it looks like Yamal will not be ready for that game.

Yamal has been one of the most important players for Barcelona in attack, and his absence will be a big blow for the side in such an important clash.

Arsenal and Liverpool want to sign the Barcelona star, Raphinha

TBR has reported that Arsenal and Liverpool are very much interested in signing Raphinha from Barca in the winter transfer window. The Brazilian has been one of the best players in the world in the ongoing season with 17 goals and 10 assists in 23 games so far across competitions this season.

He has a good Premier League experience, having been instrumental in Leeds United’s success before his £55 million move to Barcelona in the summer of 2022.

His contract with Barca expires in the summer of 2027, and hence the Blaugrana are not interested in offloading him. However, both the Gunners and the Reds are looking to take advantage of the financial situation of Barcelona and lure him away from the Catalan side.

Arsenal and Liverpool had also shown an interest in the player in the summer of 2024 but were unable to get him. The player did not want to leave Barca, despite struggling last season on a personal level. However, the Premier League clubs have still kept their interest in the Brazilian.
